We first used the Grumpygit Carpentry services 25 years ago when having thought it a great idea to bring back some carved wooden panels from Thailand. Nobody wanted to get involved in turning these into the wardrobe doors we wanted  Grumpygit Carpentry stepped up and spent considerable time making the carved panels square and matching (we thought they already were) Steve then installed them into door frames that he had custom made to suit

Our next encounter was October 2019

The stripping and repairing of our garage doors revealed serious rot to one stile and along the main bottom rail of one door.  These doors had been custom made by a now-retired carpenter and could not be replaced off the shelf with cheap soft wood alternatives.   So, we opted to try a repair and called in Grumpygit Carpentry.   The repair is invisible and was a far more financially pleasing alternative to having another set of door made to measure.
